Mary June Pace went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2019. She lived most of her life as a homemaker in Lee County, VA. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed embroidery, crochet, writing, and music. She also loved spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Jessee, mother Betty Deary Fields, husband Cecil Pace, two sons Jesse and Judas "Jim" Pace, one daughter Edith "Sue" Fleenor and her husband Charles "Dude" Fleenor, six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by five daughters Joan Carter and husband, Dexter of Sheridan, IN; Kay Toomey of Noblesville, IN; Cathy Stafford and husband, Don of Jonesville, VA; Mary Evelyn Garrett and late husband, A.W. of Ely’s Creek, VA; and Betty Kegley and husband, Marion of Puckett’s Creek, VA, and a daughter-in-law Anna Pace of Pennington Gap, VA. She is also survived by two half sisters Virginia Crusenberry and Alpha Fields, two half brothers Steve and Burley Jessee, one step sister Billy Jean Harris, sixteen grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Tony Witt officiating.
