Melissa Ann Parsons age 48 was born Wednesday, June 11, 1969 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away at her home in Pennington Gap on Sunday, February 11, 2018. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Salem VA Medical Center in Roanoke, VA and was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her sister Tracey Parsons, grandmother Fannie Martin and special friends Judy Slusser and Becky Edwards. Melissa is survived by her fiancé, Roger Mays of Pennington Gap, VA, three sons Joshua Morgan, James Morgan and Charles Dylan Goad all of Roanoke, VA, her mother Mary Flowers of Roanoke, VA and father Earl Parsons of Woodway, VA. She is also survived by her grandson Kayne Ellias Morgan, a sister Angie Reedy of Roanoke, VA and her two pugs Scooter and Bella. At the families request Miss Parsons will be cremated.
