Nettie Lee Woodard

Nettie Lee Woodard gained her wings on July 7, 2020 at the age of 50 at her home in Pennington Gap, VA.  She was born February 26, 1970 and lived and made her life as a homemaker in Pennington Gap, VA.

She was preceded in death by her father George Lee Carnes of Sparta, NC, her mother Barbara Ann Hall Carroll of Pennington Gap, VA and her lifelong companion and father of her children Mickey Allen Nelms of Pennington Gap, VA.

Nettie is survived by one son Mickey Allen Nelms, Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA, one daughter Misty Lynn Nelms of Pennington Gap, VA, one grandson Gunner Jace Nelms of Pennington Gap, VA, two granddaughters Jayden Madison Kegley and Chloe Nichole Kegley both of Pennington Gap, VA.  She is also survived by two brothers George Franklin Carnes and wife, Gretchen of Flatwoods, VA, John Wheeler Hall, Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA, two sisters Nancy Kay Hartsock of Pennington Gap, VA and currently resides in Seymour, TX and Tina Ann Miles of Pennington Gap, VA, several nieces, nephews and a lifelong and devoted family friend Daniel Burton of Pennington Gap, VA.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Beech Grove Cemetery in Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM for the service.
