Pearlie Jeanetta Mae Newman

Pearlie Jeanetta Mae Newman age 81 of Jonesville, VA was born Tuesday, October 13, 1936 in Cox's Creek, VA and passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at her home. She loved being with her grandkids, great-grandkids her family and friends and enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing, she was also of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband R.C. Newman, parents Robert Lee and Lucille Shuler and her brothers Judson, Harley, James, Willie and Glen Shuler. She is survived by her children Christina Boggs and husband, Jesse of Dryden, VA, Etta Ruth Barnette and husband, David of Jonesville, VA, Gwendolyn Dotson and husband, Mark of Jonesville, VA and Billie Joanne Lewis of Stickleyville, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shane, Matthew and Davy Barnette, Summer Woodard, Isaiah, Justin and Autumn Dotson, Brandi Gibson, Joshua Newman, Leslee Qualls, Kayla and Victoria Lewis, Chelsie Lewis, Nathaniel and Grace Reasor and Miles Boggs, twenty great-grandchildren, three sisters Ruth Lemar of Lynchburg, VA, Bobbie Link of Ohio, Arizona Lena Egan of Tennessee and close friend Terri Smith.

A funeral service will be at 5:00 PM with visitation to follow Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 noon Sunday to go to the cemetery.
