Rex Herschell Ridings

Rex Herschell Ridings, age 65, born on November 11, 1954 in Gettysburg, PA, left this walk of life on May 21, 2020 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Rex was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Rex is preceded in death by his biological father Bruce Ridings; his parents Theta Barbara Woodard and Luard Roy Woodard; his niece Alana Grace Pennington.  He is survived by his wife Cindy Ridings of the home; two sons Thomas Olsen of Bowling Green, KY and Aaron James Ridings of St. Charles, VA; two daughters Samantha Ridings of Pennington Gap, VA and Gracie Ridings of St. Charles, VA; two brothers James Roy Woodard of Lincoln Park, MI and Walter Woodard and wife Diane of St. Charles, VA; two sisters Cinda Brewer of Pennington Gap, VA and Lisa Pennington and husband Terry of Pennington Gap, VA; three step-sisters, Mary Ilene pearl (Patrick), Debbie Ridings Booher, and Brenda Barnette; nine grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Sunday with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Keokee, VA.
