Richard “Rich” Samuel Carter II, born July 7, 1967, went home to Glory on April 27, 2021, surrounded by his family. Richie was an 1986 graduate of Pennington High School, where he was a fabulous Bobcat mascot for two years, proud class clown, and friend to all. He lived in several places as an adult, but loved his time living in Pigeon Forge most of all. He is survived by two sons, Trey Carter and Michael Carter, of Guntersville, Alabama, his father Ronnie Carter of Sevierville, TN, and sister Deneicee Orr of Seymour, TN. The family will hold a private gathering, to spread his ashes, at a later date. I lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter, in Richie’s name.
