Roger Lee Byington

Roger Lee Byington, age 58, of Jonesville, VA went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2022. He was saved several years ago at Kyle’s Ford Church and was of the Baptist Faith. Roger loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very proud of his children and all of their accomplishments, and thought the world of his “little Man,” Gentry. All of his grandchildren loved their “Pappay Bird.”

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jewell Byington.

He is survived by his children, Ashley (Robert) Vikara, Phillip (Ashley) Byington, and Madison Byington. 5 Grandchildren Gentry, Jaiden, Jerimiah, Raigen, and Malikah. 3 Brothers Gary, Mark and Shane Byington. Special uncle Darrell (Moe) Byington, 4 nephews, Jeremy Wallen, Christian, Cameron, Aiden Byington, and 1 niece Hailey Byington, and a host of family and friends.
 

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be at 8:00 PM Thursday with Pastor Rick Phillips officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Powell Valley Cemetery in in Dryden, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM Friday to go to the cemetery.
