Virginia Lou Hall, Pennington Gap, VA
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Virginia Lou Hall, departed suddenly from this life on January 14, 2020 to be reunited with her precious mother in Heaven. Lou was born on February 7, 1956, to the late Johnny and Irene Thompson. Lou married her love, Steve Hall, in 1982 and resided in Pennington Gap, VA from then on.
Lou was the living definition of Love. She loved her family immensely, more than words could ever describe. She treasured her role as both mother and grandmother, her world revolving around her daughter and precious granddaughter. Anyone that met Lou quickly learned of this immeasurable love she had for them both.
Lou is preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Irene Thompson; a baby brother Jeffery Lynn Thompson and a sister Geneva Rhymer.
With profound sadness, she leaves behind her husband of 38 years Steve Hall and her daughter Heather (Francisco) Donato. To cherish her memory, she leaves her granddaughter and the highlight of her life, Chelsie Stewart, whom she loved to the moon and back. She also leaves behind her sisters Flossie (Emerson) Baker, Ivory Middleton, Judy (Homer) Ely, and Laotian (Carl) Shepherd as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held for Lou on January 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the Pennington Memorial Cemetery Hwy 421, Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12 p.m. to go to the cemetery.
