Gerald Parsons Sr.

Gerald Wayne Parsons, Sr. age 61 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Gary, IN on Thursday, January 26, 1955 and passed away at his home on Friday, April 22, 2016.  He worked for the Town of Pennington Gap. He was preceded in death by his daughter Edith Ilene Jessee and his mother Emma Oaks. Gerald is survived by his wife Brenda Sue Parsons of the home, three sons Gerald Parsons, Mike Parsons and Kenny Boyd all of Pennington Gap, VA, two daughters Jennifer Musick and husband, James of St. Charles, VA and Rhonda Middleton of Pennington Gap, VA and eight grandchildren.  He is also survived by five brothers Jimmy Gouge and wife, B.J. of North Carolina, Jackie Benfield and wife, Rachael of Pennington Gap, VA, Jeff Oaks of St. Charles, VA, Garland “P.Nut” Oaks of St. Charles, VA, and Joe Oaks and wife, Crystal of St. Charles, VA,  and four sisters  Debbie Malle of Pennington Gap, VA, Teresa Webb and husband, Billy of St. Charles, VA, Wanda Ridenour and husband, Kurt of Hopkinsville, KY and Donna Pennington and husband, Clyde of Pennington Gap, VA.
 
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Chad Miles officiating.   Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Monday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday to go the cemetery.
